Went and watched Battleship tonight. It was seriously amazing. I highly suggest going and seeing it. The characters were great and you got a chance to really bond with them. Then the action was top notch and really believable.

So it wasn't a terrible day.

Granted my husband is really just shite at romantic gestures. No flowers or gifts, or a card for that matter. Just a quick "Happy Valentines Day' earlier.

I tried (and failed) not to let it upset me. I'm just such a sappy person and I want to be romanced. I love surprises!! However, I've also had those type of boyfriends before and they're really not worth it. For my birthday one of my exes sent me with my bff on a treasure hunt to find roses spread out all over town with some of my other friends. The last clue led me back to my house to find the seventeenth rose (as I was turning seventeen) and a surprise party. Along with that was a beautiful little music box and the most lovely card with his own poetry. It's probably the most romantic and thought out thing someone has ever done for me......and he turned out to be a lying cheating douche bag.

So no, I don't need extravagant gestures anymore, I've learned they're not at all the most important thing, but that doesn't mean I don't miss that type of stuff. I thoroughly embarrassed myself when we out to dinner tonight and was crying at our table. I let my emotions get the best of me and couldn't help being mad at him even though I know he doesn't really celebrate holidays. The rest of the dinner was awkward as neither of us talked to each other. I just kept looking through stuff on my phone until he texted me "I love you <3". And that right there is why I love the man to death. He's an amazing husband. Always there for me, always supporting me. He gets me in ways I never though someone would and calms down my frantic side. He's insanely patient with me and I have no doubt in my mind he loves me just as passionately as I love him. He's my partner in life and that's such a good feeling.

He is taking me out Friday. I think he always intended it to be our Valentines Day, even though that's really unconventional and he just doesn't get girl stuff sometimes lol. Regardless, I bought this beautiful new dress and I'm really excited to wear it. When we got home we rented "Something Borrowed" and snuggled up on the couch together. It was wonderful and just what I needed.

So to my single friends: V-day doesn't really get better when you're attached lol. To my dating friends: enjoy the kiss-up while it lasts haha. To my married friends: if you have a romantic guy enjoy it, otherwise remember there's other stuff that's far more important.

In other news, I'm almost done with my committed fanfic stuff! Games fic is done and turned in and I posted my reversebb fic today! All I have left is the canon fest. I really wanted to sign up for paperlegends as I have this seriously epic fic that would take SO MANY WORDS to complete; however, I promised myself I would stop after canon fest and do the novel thing. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time!

Oh! I've been reading "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins. OMG!!! SO GOOD!!!! so so so so so good! I had been reading a chapter a night but then I got to where the games actually started and read it all in one night- staying up til 6am lol. It's really that good. If you haven't read them yet, get to it!!

And that's my life atm. Been a little crazy hence my semi mia status. *hugs* to you all.

Today I feel like a zombie and want to crawl back in bed. Four hours of sleep just doesn't cut it. In happy news I got an A on that project I was working so hard on and an A in the class WOOT!

Finally, as if I haven't spammed my poor f-list enough with all the cross-posting: Go read my new little 4x7 magic reveal coda.

Mondays are exhausting in general, but yesterday was a dousy -.- (is dousy not a word? ppl say it--maybe not my generation--but I've heard it before. Maybe I'm horrible at spelling, idek)

My co-worker didn't show up AGAIN!!!! This is the fourth Monday he's called in sick and I've had to do all his work. When the newspaper s on deadline you can't just not get stuff turned in. My kind heart is about to run out of understanding and I'm going to start demanding asking them to give me his accounts, cus this is just freaking ridiculous. On the up side, him calling in sick means he's not there to bother me. *sigh*

Also had some drama at the dance studio. We have a new girl is awesome- I mean seriously awesome!!! But she's upset cus she feels like all the studio focus is on a different girl- who had always been one of our best dancers. So I had a straight forward talk with her that included me having to tip toe around subjects I couldn't talk about, but still reassure her that I don't play favorites. Which I don't. Everyone should have equal opportunity to shine and we're not a competition studio. I think we're good now, but man it was kinda crazy.

Watched the movie "Arthur" last night. It was HILARIOUS!! I highly recommend it. Super funny with just the right amount of plot and feel good ending. Go rent it if you haven't seen it yet!

And lastly...I STARTED MY MERLIN HOLS FIC!!!!! YAY!!!!!! Oh man, this is gonna take all the four weeks and be so ridiculously long, but I'm really excited about it *eek* =D

I just got my B&N order today!! I'm pretty excited! So these are the books I have that I need to read:
