Deep Into The Darkness Peering...

Friday I had a blast hanging out with pretty much my only friend down here. We watched our dance studio perform at our local mall and then had dinner at Steak & Shake before sitting around the fire at her house chatting and having some wine. It was heavenly and such a nice release after the long awful day.

Overall the entire weekend was absolutely wonderful because my husband actually had both Saturday and Sunday off of work. He NEVER gets the weekends off. It was so nice to actually spend some time with him! We didn't wake up until one o'clock on Saturday and none of the Merlin streams were working so we just hung out until we went and watched the UFC fights. John Bones Jones kept his light heavyweight title, so that was exciting. Also rather pleased that Machida (sp?) at least went a couple rounds, as I've always had a soft spot for him.

Sunday I got up early and watched a couple movies.

  

Splice was really super weird and I highly suggest never ever submitting yourself to that torture. It was fine until a little over halfway through and the thing starts having sex with everyone. WEIRD. Then I watched Roomate and it was also disturbing, but still a good movie. Was excited to see both Kat and Nina from TVD in it.

Finally read one of the books from my stack of 'to read'. Not having homework is making my life so much better!



It was pretty good. The ending wasn't what I expected, but good nevertheless. Actually has a substantial shout out to the stuck in a tree legend of Merlin which had me laughing and then kinda crying. I was all 'NO! I'm reading this book to be good and do something outside of fandom, and then you do this to me!' But still, worth the read. It really just felt good to read a "real" book again =D

Also on Sunday I wrote 2k for my merlinreversebb fic! SO HAPPY! I've had a serious case of writers block for two weeks. I've had the document open every time I've been sitting at my computer and still nothing. For some reason my muse decided to cooperate yesterday and tada! More than halfway done with the story! Trying to get this one wrapped up so I can start my fic for merlin_games.

All in all a VERY productive and fun weekend! Now it's Monday and so far the evil guy of doom hasn't made me go through my list yet. Thank goodness. Hopefully it stays that way =D Btw, if you haven't checked out the amazing amazing stuff over at merlin_holidays, GO DO IT!

Been a good weekend!

I've felt weird though, like I should have stuff to do- but I really don't. It's been months since I last had this much freedom. It's absolutely wonderful!

Wrote both my ficlet presents then spent last night and tonight making Christmas/Holiday cards. I only have a couple more and then they will be ready for me to send off on Monday!!! So excited!

My hols fic is finally turned in!! YAY!! It's perfect and beautiful and I can't wait until my giftee gets to read it! *EEK* I can't wait for you guys to read it either, it's my little fiction love child ^^ Also been thinking about ideas for my reversebb fic and I've got my plan cemented so now it just needs to be put down on paper.

I'm still unsure if I'm watching this weeks Merlin. I really don't know if I can take the heartbreak. Kiinda just wanna read peoples spoilery reviews and pretend it didn't happen lol. SUPER excited for Once Upon a Time tomorrow!

I'll be watching Supernatural and American Horror Story sometime soon (after Homework of course, cus that's all I live and breathe ><). I also want to download Grim and watch that- it looks really good!

I would wite about my Halloween weekend home, but this post is already far too long. I missed being on here far more than I probably should have, but oh well. Loves you flist.
