happyevraftrI still haven't watched Supernatural yet, but I've seen my other shows YAY!!! All my reviews are below and are (obviously) spoilery.
So first and foremost-
Merlin was awesome as usual. It was really fantastic getting to see Arthur growing into his role as king. I'm glad the writers didn't have it be easy on him. Getting to see him be all just and noble in the end was pretty spectacular =D
I did, however, (gdi why can't I understand how to use punction correctly *pouts*) almost cry when Arthur was all "you don't understand what it's like to make decisions that will shape the future". That was paraphrased btw. When are they going to stop ripping out poor Merlin's heart already? PLEASE I BEG YOU WRITERS FOR A REVEAL SO WE CAN ALL BE HAPPY. Or at least bring back the bb dragon, he distracts me enough not to pull my hair out over the non-reveal.
All in all I'm really loving this season and I'm so happy with the improvements in everything. The relationship development is great, the knights are freaking awesome, there's Merthur like crazy and even Gwen isn't totally annoying!! I'm a happy fangirl =D (for now, there may be threats if bb dragon, Lanceypants or magic reveal doesn't happen soon)
My next review goes to The Secret Circle because WOW!!!!! I was FINALLY impressed by this episode!
The Secret Circle surprised me this week with the action and generally good episode! It's been such a slow start and I haven't been impressed at all- but this one made me happy. The double agent thing Nick has going on is kinda fun, it brings a steady amount of excitement to the show that was missing before. We finally have a continuous plot instead of throwing something new and kind of bland at us with each episode. It's really intriguing too, as it gives us a little more character depth than we had before. Nick doesn't like witches because of what happened to his family, and yet he seems drawn to Cassie and has a whole history with Faye. I'm looking forward to watching him war with his conflicting feelings.
Along with the rest of the fandom, I've been wondering exactly why Cassie is supossed to be the leader of the circle. Apparently her family always has been inherently more powerful, but it still wasn't connecting for me- until this episode. Cassie going all bamf! and having some dark magic really made me happy. Again, more character depth and we'll get to see some struggle on her part to control that side of her. YAY!!!! Not to mention, you really need some bamfness if you're gonna do a witch show!
Only thing I didn't like this episode is the whoe Diane/Adam/Cassie thing. It's just so weird imo. As a girl I can tell ya there is no way in hell I would be friends with the girl my boyfriend was "destined" for, whether it's her fault or not, and no matter how nice she is. Just wouldn't happen. So I dunno, maybe that will stop being so awkward soon?
Hey look at that! I actually had something to say on TSC--told you I would if they ever gave me something to talk about!!
And of course I can't forget about my beloved Vampire Diaries. This episode wasn't the best, but I wasn't dissapointed.
Vampire Diaries bringing back the ghosts was pretty interesting. The Anna/Jeremy made me SO sad. I mean COME ON, they already killed her once and they bring her back and make her go away again. *sigh* I shipped them so hard. *tear*
Lexi was a total bamf! and I loved her for it! Glad Elena isn't going to hang on to Stefan for forever. The look on his face when she left has me worried she got through to him though. Not because I'm such a hardcore Delena shipper (which I am), but mainly because I will mourn the day we lose this totally awesome ripper!Sefan. The guilt he's going to have to deal with is going to make him depressed!Stefan x1,000 REALLY not looking forward to that.
The Damon and Mason story was pretty interesting. I always thought Mason was a cool character, just led down the wrong path. It was nice to see what he could have been like if he was a good guy. Obviously really curious about what they found in the cave.
I literally stood up and cheered when Damon appologized to Alaric. THE BROMANCE IS BACK!!! Let's all celebrate *\O/* I've missed these two being pals so very much. They are hilarious together and just work.
Only things I didn't love was the lack of Tyler and Forwood and of course WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO MY BB KATHERINE??? How could they just not involve that this episode? *sulks* Can't wait for this weeks epi. More originals ftw!!!
And finally (omg, I watch too much tv!!) the second episode of Once Upon a Time. This week was particularly wonderful as I got to watch it with my best friend whom I don't get to see often!
This show is really intriguing. I'm excited to see where they're taking it now that the curse has been lifted. I LOVE how fiesty Emma is. I lol'd when she cut down the apple tree! My favorite part is probably all of the flashbacks to fairytale land. Not to mention that Pam from True Blood played the other witch. AND John from Vampire Diaries is a guest star next week. Oh when fandoms collide!
The witch is really an evil person and I'm hating on her pretty hard. I could sympathize with her up until she killed her own father and ripped his heart out. Really? What kind of person can do that? That's just so awful! So now I just want Emma and all the fairytale people to kill her in a horrible way.
I'm also really hoping they bring in the other fairytale people like Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. While I love the actress playing Snow White, Snow White is probably my least favorite fairy tale princess. She's way to boring for my taste *shrugs*
I'll be watching Supernatural and American Horror Story sometime soon (after Homework of course, cus that's all I live and breathe ><). I also want to download Grim and watch that- it looks really good!
I would wite about my Halloween weekend home, but this post is already far too long. I missed being on here far more than I probably should have, but oh well. Loves you flist.
