stupid LJ

well LJ implemented the stupid no subject line in comments thing. Lots of people are talking about going to Dreamwidth, but honestly I won't be guys. It took me two years to convince myself LJ was a good idea and I just got here a couple months ago. The idea of transferring everything over and learning a whole new thing, just to prolly have a different whole new thing in a couple months- nope, I refuse. Not to mention I really don't like dreamwidth. I don't like the color scheme, the layout, the journal layouts, the search setup. Hate it all. So I'll be around here still regardless of the no subjects in comments, and if everyone goes someplace else I suppose I'll (very regretfully) be pulling out of fandom. Sad day :(

I'll still be around, BB. It's been almost 10 years of LJ for me, and I can't imagine life without it. Dreamwidth doesn't accept my openID, and I've never been able to figure it out - I think it doesn't like me.

We'll let them bail, and we'll make our own fandom.

I'll be here! but I'm also backing up on DW. If we could only get through to them it would be good. :( Sadness. IF they get their shit together I might consider a paid account but I won't be so easy with it as before. My paid time runs up tomorrow.... *sigh*

I can't get used to Dreamwidth at all...it just doesn't feel like home.

LJ feels like home, and Dreamwidth feels like a hotel room...

(Though increasingly LJ feels like a home that is falling down around my ears)

I keep thinking I'm going to have to go over to DW and TRY to settle in a bit there... As you say though, I don't like the layouts and all sorts of things.

I don't know which way I'll go if everyone did bail off into DW...whether I'd try to make a go of it over there, or just call it a day.

Are a lot of people actually give up on lj and moving to Dreamwidth? I'm in the same boat as you, I just came back to lj a few months ago and I'm not ready to give up on it yet. The thought of setting up a new account and learning how everything over there works is too exhausting, haha, I'm super lazy. Also, I just like it here!

It's very stupid. I won't leave LJ, but I may crosspost on DW. I don't know. It just doesn't look as good as Lj -.-
