oh my goodness. *whew* crazy few days!!

Did a whole bunch of homework last night and now I'm almost done! Feel absolutely sick today, but I managed to make it in to work. Hoping I don't stay this sick for the week :(

Spent my lunch break making a new community. No, I don't have time for this, but I don't care! It's ready to go minus the fact I need to make a new header for it cus the current immage doesn't make any sense. I'll make an official post once the banner is done, but it's [livejournal.com profile] percivalxelyan . Yes, I'm officially obsessed.

Read the episode synopsis for the last Merlin episodes:

There's a small part of me that doens't even want to watch the end of this season. AT. ALL. I'm already pissed off enough about Lance/Gwen not being end game. They are totally disrespecting Lance fans and Gwen/Lance fans by doing this. BOO! Then the fact that they get ran out of Camelot at all. WTF?!?!!? Arthur is king now...finding out about your magic is better than LETTING HIS KINGDOM GET TAKEN OVER. How does that serve the point of his destiny? Complete writer fail. Perhaps I shall just go with head canon and be done with it. (and of course I can't really go through with that, but I want to)

It just sounds so similar to the finale of episode 3 :/ As you say, what will it TAKE for Merlin to reveal his magic? Is anything ever going to be serious enough?

I don't know, maybe they're going to spring a reveal on us but I am now thinking they won't (or not in this finale at least) and I just cannot believe we will go into another hiatus without Merlin acknowledged, especially if Arthur is now King and Gwen, Queen.

Exactly! I can only take so much. I have abandoned a show before in its last season and I really don't want to do that....but *cries* *cries some more* please don't do this to us writers ;__________;

What's extra frustrating is that, with these writers, you KNOW it isn't actually a case of 'what will be serious enough', but just 'when do we want to deal with it?". Morgana's life was in danger in S1, but Uther didn't bother to try and use magic to save her until S2. Nor did he suggest it for Arthur in all the times his life was in danger. I fear that when we get the magic reveal, they will just throw it away on something quite minor like a 'plot of the week' when Merlin didn't bother for all the other 'plots of the week' :( I'm hoping I'm wrong on that.

I was saying to a8c-sock the other night that if they mess up the magic reveal, they will have finished undermining ALL the things fandom has been speculating over and writing and vidding about for 4 years. We've already had Morgana's turn to the dark side, Arthur as King, the Lancelot/Gwen romance - all of those things have been robbed of the big epic development we were expecting. The reveal is the only thing left now. PLEASE DON'T MESS IT UP.

Hey hey. I'm so going to join your comm. Lol.

My biggest annoyance, aside from a lack of magic reveal, is that how many times does Arthur have to lose Camelot? Every series finale? I'm not going to touch on pairings though cos well, I wanna stay friends. :p

I was just telling someone it's a good thing I see the writer's incompetence as adorable instead of annoying as I really should. Maybe it's a sign of low standards on my part. What have you done to me Merlin?

shipping aside, I'm just mad about Lance/Gwen because it's how the legend goes (at least from what I remember). So to handle it so poorly makes me really sad.

That's my biggest annoyance too. magog made a great point above that at this point the writers are just putting it off because they don't want to deal with it; which is just so depressing. Unless it happens soon and Merlin gets to go all bamf! no one is going to be happy. I mean, they could even have an entire season of Arthur being pissed and exiling him and all this emotional fallout and people would be WAY less angry about that- maybe even expect it.
