happyevraftr: (True Blood)

I can't even begin to explain my thoughts on True Blood tonight....

Jesus dead....well I BALLED MY EYES OUT!!! I'm starting to get really annoyed with them killing off EVERY new character they bring in. Imean....EVERY single one (minus Jess)

Tara dead...well I really didn't care either way. It made me laugh though cus I was like- the fandom is going to be throwing a party tonight LMAO. There's some serious Tara haters out there!

Rev Newlin back- this is going to be annoying and lame

Russel Edginton back- omg SERIOUSLY?!?!? I mean I know you ruined any form of following the books ABall, but are you just going to repeat things over and over now until we can't take it anymore? *FAIL* I hated that story line to begin with ><

Nan dying- well that was exciting simply because Eric is f'ing HOT when he's tearing people's heads off. *flail* However, I'm getting really irritated with this bad ass Bill- where's the wimpy guy I loved to hate from the books?

And finally....I literally fastforwarded through the beginning of the weird Eric/Sookie/Bill scene. I am SO sick of this gross love triangle ABall seems to think is a good idea. I mean ARE WE EVEN GOING TO GET A BLOOD BOND?!?!?! grrrrr..... I wanna do this to ABall:

I keep hoping things are going to get better and they never do *tear*

#I don't even know if I can keep watching ABall tear my TB universe apart

Yeah, I mean I know they're not afraid to kill people but it's starting to lose it's shock value ya know? Why bring in so many new characters just to kill all of them? I dunno.....

With Tara dead I'm wondering if they're going to have Laffy go all dark side. I mean, does he still have Jesus' power?

I'm SO excited Debbie is dead. Just wish that scene would have been a little closer to the books, but oh well.

I didn't really like Russell. Mainly I didn't understand wtf they were doing leaving him alive in the first place. But I guess we'll see where they're gonna do with it.

True Blood this season was really really weird. i hated the cheesyness that was Sookie/Erik, i got all sad for Pam, and mostly i was underwhelmed. and now Jesus is gone ;____; Bill, however, has grown on me again *g* and i'd forgotten about Russel Edginton! :D that could get interesting though ;)

*creepin* i dont care about tara either way, but i dont want her to be dead right now purely because lafayette just lost jesus, if he loses tara, the only person he has left is is mother, who was the whole reason he met jesus in the first place ;-; i'll be terrified he'll just be so upset and alone that he'd just kill himself.

Well I'm kinda wondering if Laf still has Jesus' power. Are they planning on making him go nuts with it? I wouldn't mind it if he uses it for good, but I don't know if I could take a darkside Laffy :(
Have you read the "last words" interview with the actors/actresses? When they told the Jesus guy he was awesome and they were just killing him because happy relationships were boring.....well I lost a lot of respect for the writers (and I didn't have much to begin with!). Yeah, having everything be peachy keen is boring, but there were plenty of problems throughout the show to keep it entertaining without killing off everyone they bring in, especially Jesus! -.-
Oooookkkk...I'm not a crazy person but True Blood makes me that way sometimes hahaha *end rant*

no i totally understand. i felt the same way. i was like "seriously?! there's ENOUGH motherfucking drama in the whole show, and they're not central characters. you can't have one couple just be strong enough to survive the shit bon tomps throws out?"

when i lost respect for them though was in the video 'inside the episode' that HBO posted thats actually talking with the writers. i HATED the scene when jesus comes back to lafayette. he was just so blunt and callous, when he wasn't like that when he was alive at all. he went out of his way to pursue lafayette, and he's a caregiver by nature. lafayette is beside himself over what happened. jesus's character should have told him it wasn't his fault, he's sorry that he gave lafayette his abilities and that they didn't get more time together, but that he would always be with him.

but the stupid lady said "i didn't want your regular 'i'll always be with you' scene, so we decided jesus is going to be ok with what happened." and i was yelling at the screen. There's a difference between having jesus be at peace and having him be an uncaring asshole. (plus, with all the other ghosts, they were still themselves when they were dead. none of them were at the level of serenity that 'being at peace' was supposed to give them. so why the hell did they make jesus so out of character?

*giant sigh*

end of my rant -_-

I 100% agree with you. I also though Jesus ghost was really really out of character. I mean, he was freaking out about giving Laf his powers- it was obvious how guilty he felt about it. He didn't wanna do that to him, but he just couldn't watch Marnie torture his boyfriend. --His ghost brought NONE of that emotion, which was really disturbing imo.

Honestly though, the ENTIRE possession thing with Laf really bothered me. I mean, are there no charms, tattoos, protection spells that can keep him from being possessed unless he wants it? It seems a little odd to me that he would just walk around his whole life with no control over crap like that.

yeah. i think they fucked up with the goodbye, but kevin alejandro, who plays jesus, says he thinks he'll be back next season in and out to mentor Lala possibly, so hopefully when they bring him back he's himself, not the douche bag they wrote him as.

i thought hat too, as soon as the mavis situation happened. "shouldn't they be able to do something to avoid Laf getting possessed? in any other town, the cops wouldnt let him off because he said he was possessed, he'd be arrested for kidnapping and attempted murder of a police officer. he needs to be careful."
