Exactly. I mean, I feel for Merlin, too, but the show (and Gaius & Kilgharrah) have made a point of Morgana 'choosing' darkness, when I don't feel like she was really given many options. It can be argued that Morgana would've went dark in the end anyway, which is possible, but I think ~this version of Morgana (versus the Morgana in many of the legends) had an extremely strong sense of justice and would've gone about things in a different way if she hadn't felt so alone. It's one of the things I love about Merlin, really! None of the characters are really black and white evil, and the fandom, especially, does such an amazing job of showing that.
