This weekend was nice!

I always think I'm going to be productive on Friday nights and I NEVER am. I work two demanding jobs and I'm taking a full grad school course load so I'm tired by the time Friday rolls around. Nevertheless, it was still a nice Friday. My friends hosted a toga part and we watch Gladiator. We had to drink anytime a dog showed up, anytime they said Maximus and anytime someone died. Needless to say we all consumed three beers within the first fifteen minutes of the movie.... fun times :)

Saturday I mean to work on my homework, but I checked LJ in the morning and ended up doing fandom stuff until 5:00pm *sigh* I couldn't help it. I decided not to feel guilty about it though as it had been a long time since I had spent that much time just chilling with fandom people. It made me feel so happy inside. I did get my big project done, which is a really good thing since I had to send it off to my project partner.

Sunday I was meaning to do homework again, and I did get a little done (though not near as much as I should have) but I got distracted because our PS3 is magically working again and I was beyond excited I could watch my Blue Ray movies again. So I watched my favorite movie of all time EVER "Ever After". I've seen it at least 50 times (no, really at least that many) and I still squee all over the place and say every line with it. gah, I love it!
"I'm am sorry. My mouth has run away with me again."
"Oh no, my lady. It is your mouth that has my hypnotized."

*sigh* =D

Then I watched "Confessions of a Shopaholic." This movie is therapy to me. It's a little sad, but I know exactly how this character feels. The rush of going into a new shore, or just visiting the mall in general. The pure joy and ectasy of having a new shopping bag in your hand. It's literally like a drug I feel so euphoric. However, I'm young and married and real life dictates I must pay my electrical bill and not buy $100 shoes or a $500 coach purse :( I actually use the same technique they teach her in the movie- any time I go to any store I ask myself "Do I really need this?" And in general I've learned to live without and I just don't subject myself to the torture of going to the mall, as it's so hard for me to resist any type of deal. I won't lie though, I've really been missing it lately. I used to drop $500 easy a month in shopping. Just because it was fun! SO. FUN (yes, I realize I'm an addict, but I admit it and deal with it lol) Though in my defense, I'm was very picky about what I bought and I always wore/used all of it! Maybe someday I'll actually have a little bit of spending cash again and I can indulge a little ^^

And finally, I watched "Leap Year" because this movie is adorable and I love Ireland and the guys Irish accent *flail* I'm a sucker for Irish accents like you wouldn't believe *fans self* Also finally got to watch Merlin last night and it was wonderful :)

All in all a good weekend. Now if I can just get through this week, everything will be happier.
