I can understand Merlin's disappointment, angry and frustration when Arthur doesn't come home. It's hard when to get people to understand the passion and the reason for celebrating you have been brought up with your whole life when they haven't.

But Arthur, being the awesome, wonderful sweetheart that he is, surely would do his best to understand and make it up to Merlin once he knows how much it means to him. You showed that perfectly in this fic, its just the only way things would ever go.
