Oh, geez, I totally agree! I think Morgana is very much a victim of circumstance, and although she's done terrible things, she's also been let down by the people in her life. Since Morgause was the only one to really make her feel valued and accepted, it isn't hard to understand why things went the way they did. (And I've always thought that Merlin and especially Gaius should take some responsibility for the way they left her in the dark, alone and confused and believing that everyone she cared about would hate her for who she was).
